Burgh Halls Arts Centre, Linlithgow *

A major re-structuring and refurbishment of a grade A listed building, to provide a fully accessible and contemporary Community Arts Centre.

The design concept restores the dignity of two listed buildings which together form the Burgh Halls, by inserting a new glazed circulation core between them. External fabric and period interior spaces are carefully restored whilst other areas are confidently opened up to provide a welcoming entrance and bright, flexible orientation and exhibition spaces.

A generous connection to a new landscaped garden at the rear of a contemporary café extension provides the building with a completely new aspect.
