Corstorphine House, Edinburgh

The design of this project is a response to the clients’ desire for a larger family space that connects the existing house to the garden and brings sunshine and warmth deep into the interior.  

The form of the extension ensures that the external deck area is not over shadowed and when combined with the roof glazing and roof / cladding materials this creates an ultra-modern design aesthetic.  

In many ways it is a response to the challenge of how to extend a ‘new build’ house without simply creating more of the same. 

As with all our projects the design does not simply create more space, but has a transformative effect on the existing spaces and garden that it connects to.
