Blackford House, Edinburgh

This extension is a replacement for a former conservatory which completely failed to provide a usable / enjoyable space. 

Carefully considered design and structural work was required to open up the ground floor level of the existing ‘outshot’ and enable a free flowing open plan kitchen / dining garden room. 

The design ensures a strong connection and easy access to the garden with generous steps and a herb planter integrated into the design.
